Profile update cycle
The profile update step asks each person in the cycle to review sections of their own profile, such as education, experience, languages and certifications, by a date. At the end, you know who updated it, who reviewed it and confirmed everything was right and who never opened it, and you can see what changed in each profile.
The step can be the only one in the cycle or come with maps and assessments. With Repeat this cycle, the review comes back on its own, every semester for example.
Set up the step
In the Steps and audience step of the cycle form, click Add profile update. If the cycle is only about profiles, remove the map step with Remove step.
Under Profile sections, check what the person needs to review and, among those, the required ones. They can only send the review after going through the required ones. The available sections are personal and contact details, location and mobility, education, experience, languages, certifications, résumé, profile skills, preferences and company fields.
The deadline, reminders and late notice work as in the other steps. The e-mails take the person straight to their profile.
What the person does
While the step is open, the top of My Profile shows the sections to review, which ones are required and how many were already reviewed. For each section, the person clicks Confirm as is or edits it in their profile; an edited section already counts as reviewed. After the required ones, they click Send review.
Track
In the People tab of the cycle, the step column separates who:
Updated it, with the sections that changed;
had No changes: reviewed everything and confirmed it as is;
is Incomplete: started and did not send it before the step closed;
did Not open the review before the step closed.
While the step is open, people who have not sent it yet show as open or in progress, with the deadline.
Click the person's name or e-mail, or use See what changed in the row menu, to see the difference by section: what was added, removed and changed, plus the sections confirmed without changes. If the review is still in progress, the drawer shows what changed so far.
