Lock the profile outside cycles
With the lock on, people at the company only change some profile sections during a profile update cycle. Outside it, the profile stays as it was reviewed in the last cycle. Personal and contact data can always be edited.
Turn the lock on
In Settings > Onboarding, turn on Lock the profile outside update cycles and pick the Locked sections. Turned on with nothing picked, profile skills, company fields and preferences come checked. Click Save.
What the person sees
Outside an open profile update cycle, each locked section shows Can only change during the cycle instead of the edit button. During the cycle, the sections the step asks for are unlocked; the others stay locked.
A section that is still empty can be filled in at any time, and sending the same content again is not blocked. The LinkedIn sync and the CV reading keep working, without changing the locked sections. Company admins can still edit another person's profile.
To open the update window, create a profile update cycle.
