A Recruiter Seat is the access to use Sourcing. Only a Recruiter Seat searches for talent, opens full profiles, invites and requests or approves shortlists. People without one still see the company's searches and shortlists and open the profiles in the shortlists, so they can follow the team's work.
What this solves for you
Control over who uses Sourcing on behalf of the company.
Predictable usage: the number of seats follows your plan.
The whole team follows what is being done, even without a seat.
Who can be a Recruiter Seat
Every paid plan includes Recruiter Seats, and the first one always belongs to the workspace author. The Free plan includes no seats: to use Sourcing, subscribe to a plan.
The other seats can go to admins and managers. Other access profiles cannot hold a seat.
Sourcing permissions still apply within the seat: for example, someone without Approve shortlists requests a shortlist, and it waits for approval.
How to link a person
Open the users page under Settings.
On the person, click Edit.
Turn on Recruiter Seat (sourcing) and click Save.
To free the seat, turn the option off. If the person's access profile changes to one that cannot hold a seat, the seat is freed. If the person is deactivated, they stop taking the seat; if they are reactivated, they take it again.
How many seats you have
On the users page, the Active Recruiter Seats (sourcing) box shows how many are in use and how many the plan offers, for example 2 of 5. The user list marks who holds a Recruiter Seat.
Need more seats?
When all seats are in use, the box tells you so, and you cannot link another person until a seat is freed. The number of seats depends on your company's plan. To add more, talk to sales.
People without a Recruiter Seat see a notice in Find Talents and in Shortlists. Managers and other profiles ask an admin for the seat.
What if the plan changes to one with fewer seats?
Nobody loses access: whoever already holds a Recruiter Seat keeps it. The box shows how many seats are over the plan, and no new seat can be given until the account is back within the limit.
Frequently asked questions
Do people without a Recruiter Seat lose access to searches? No. They still see the company's searches, history and shortlists, and open the profiles in the shortlists. They don't search, invite, request or approve shortlists, and don't open full profiles outside the shortlists.
Is the daily search limit per seat? The daily limit applies to each user who searches the Coodesh base, that is, to each Recruiter Seat. See Daily search limit and Sourcing credit costs.
Can the workspace author stop being a Recruiter Seat? No, while the plan includes seats: the author always takes the first one. On the Free plan nobody has a seat, not even the author.
