When you enable integrity features in your assessment, you can review each person’s activity history on the results screen.
Integrity
When you open the result, the following information may be displayed:
Last Used Device: device type. The operating system appears on hover.
Browser: browser used, with the full version on hover.
Location: approximate location, derived from the IP address.
Monitors: number of screens detected. Detection only works on Google Chrome and with permission granted.
Number of pauses: how many times the person paused, when pausing is enabled for the assessment.
DevTools openings: shown only when the developer tools were opened at least once.
Did you leave full screen mode?
Did you keep the mouse in the assessment? Despite the wording, this row reports tab exits: switching tabs or minimising the browser.
Moved the focus outside the test window? Covers what a tab exit cannot see: another application, a second monitor or a browser side panel.
Filled out from a single IP address? A red Yes here means more than one address was used.
Copy/Paste detected?
Text inserted without a paste detected? Text that reached the answer without going through the clipboard, such as an AI assistant insert button or drag and drop.
On the rows phrased as a question, a red Yes means the behaviour was detected and a green No means nothing was recorded. Unknown appears when there is not enough data.
Photo identification
If the “photo identification” option is enabled, an image of the candidate will be captured at the beginning of the test.
Image supervision
If the “image supervision” option is enabled, additional images will be captured while the test is running and will also be available in the integrity history.
When you enable AI-based image analysis, the system can identify the following suspicious behaviors:
Person not looking at the screen
More than one person in frame
No person detected
Face partially visible
Cellphone detected
Camera capture failure
Severity indicator
In addition to individual events, the system automatically calculates a severity indicator for each assessment attempt.
This indicator appears as a label with one of the following values:
none – no relevant behavior detected
low – low severity
medium – medium severity
high – high severity
Technically, this label is stored in the integrity.severity_category field and helps reviewers prioritise which attempts deserve closer manual review.
How the indicator is calculated
During the assessment, various integrity events are logged (for example: tab exits, copy/paste attempts, proctoring image captures). Each event receives a weight according to its severity. These are the default values:
High severity events are worth 15 points
Medium severity events are worth 5 points
Low severity events are worth 1 point
Neutral events are worth 0.5 points (they register behaviour with minimal impact)
When the same type of event happens repeatedly in a short time window, the system applies a frequency multiplier, increasing the score of those repeated events.
The sum is then converted into a 0 to 100 score and classified into ranges: up to 25 None, up to 50 Low, up to 75 Medium, above that High.
Three additional rules can raise the category above what the score alone would indicate:
A single serious event decides on its own. One high severity event that is not a proctoring photo takes the attempt to High. One medium severity event takes it to Medium.
Proctoring photos count by density, not by unit. A single flagged photo does not promote the whole attempt. With ten or more photos, what counts is the proportion of frames with serious findings.
Events outside exposure weigh less. High and medium severity drop to low when nothing was on screen at that moment, such as in the waiting room or between questions.
The weights can be adjusted
The values above are the platform default, not a constant. You can configure per assessment how much each signal weighs, choosing between the standard, strict and light profiles, or adjusting signal by signal.
The ruler in use is frozen at the start of each attempt, so a hiring process is evaluated end to end by the same criteria even if the configuration changes midway. Before applying a change, you can simulate its impact on finished attempts and see how many would change category.
How to interpret the severity indicator
Attempts with category none usually indicate normal behavior, with no relevant signs of risk.
low and medium categories indicate events that deserve attention, but do not always represent fraud.
Attempts with high severity should be prioritized for manual review, as they concentrate a higher number and intensity of risky events.
The integrity system is designed as a decision-support tool for reviewers, not as an automatic decision engine.
Not every suspicious signal is actually fraud, so it is essential to carefully review the history before making decisions about disqualification or rejection.
Timeline and video review
The integrity history logs all actions taken by the candidate during the test, from the beginning to the end of the assessment.
You can:
Watch the recorded navigation video of the assessment session.
Review the text-based history, displayed on the side of the page when you click the “Timeline” button.
When you hover over the clickable icons in the history, you are taken to the exact moment in the video when that action occurred.
You can also adjust the playback speed according to your preference.
When copy-and-paste behavior is detected, the system allows you to see which content was copied, helping you decide whether that action compromised the integrity of the test or not.
