Understand the “whys” behind our pricing

Updated this week

Coodesh follows a transparent, sustainable pricing policy designed to ensure service continuity with high availability, security, and support—without putting undue pressure on budgets for companies in Brazil and across Latin America. This note explains the real costs behind running a technical and behavioral assessment platform at scale, so you understand why our plans and prices are set the way they are.

Every assessment relies on critical infrastructure. We run data on MongoDB Atlas with replicas, backups, and auto-scaling to handle traffic spikes during hiring cycles. We operate on AWS (compute, networking, observability) and use Amazon S3 to securely store files, test evidence, videos, and reports. These providers charge for capacity, requests, data transfer, and storage—costs that fluctuate with usage and workload patterns.

Our assessments leverage state-of-the-art AI (OpenAI, Gemini, and others) for assisted grading, free-text analysis, feedback generation, and integrity/anti-fraud mechanisms. AI isn’t “free”: there are per-token/processing costs, different models for different tasks, and orchestration layers to uphold quality and privacy. In pricing, we factor in average processing volume per customer and usage ceilings to keep things predictable.

Beyond infrastructure, we provide in-product, real-time support tools and a human support team dedicated to helping customers and candidates. Our team speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English, reducing friction across LATAM and global operations. We also have developers continuously improving the platform (new tests, ATS integrations, performance, security), which entails salaries, tooling, QA, and a reliable deployment pipeline.

We are a Brazilian startup, bootstrapped (no VC funding), competing with global players that often price solely in USD. Many of our inputs (cloud, AI, monitoring) are also dollar-denominated. Our commitment is to absorb volatility where possible and keep pricing fair and stable, prioritizing long-term relationships.

Currency: in Brazil we invoice in Brazilian reais (R$). For companies outside Brazil, we charge in USD or adapt to local models in markets such as Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile (e.g., local practices and billing modalities), always seeking a balance between predictability and accessibility.

Running a product like ours is not simple. It requires high uptime, fast incident response, data protection, fraud prevention, elasticity for traffic peaks, and human support when the unexpected happens. Our pricing reflects this reliability standard customers need during critical hiring and internal assessment moments.

Our plans balance different needs: occasional usage, growing teams, and enterprise operations with steady demand and specific requirements. Each tier includes usage limits, features, and support levels that optimize cost-benefit for your stage and forecastability. Where possible, we offer monthly and annual options, with annual plans designed for budget predictability and lower effective cost.

We periodically review pricing based on real usage, workload mix, cloud/AI costs, and our roadmap. When we gain efficiency (infra, models, caching, optimizations), we reinvest it in product improvements and price stability. When external costs rise, we consider adjustments with maximum caution, prioritizing service continuity and long-term partnerships.

Our promise is to deliver measurable value: shorter screening cycles, higher hiring accuracy, better candidate experience, and clearer skills visibility for fairer decisions. If something doesn’t fit your reality, we want to hear it: we’ll tailor plan recommendations, guide setup, and help you maximize your ROI.
