Guide: How to Use the Custom Glossary

Learn how to customize the names of entities—Career, Journey, Position, and Skill—on the platform.

Updated today

The Glossary is a powerful tool that allows you to adapt the platform's terminology to your company's culture and business model. With it, you can rename native entities so that the ecosystem reflects exactly the language used in your daily operations.

The Impact of Customization

When you define your own terms, the change is applied globally. This means that menus, filters, labels, system messages, and notifications will display your chosen names, ensuring a cohesive experience for both administrators and talents.

Common Use Cases:

  • Education: Rename "Position" to "Course" and "Skill" to "Curricular Unit".

  • Corporate: Change "Career" to "Technology Area" or "Journey" to "Modality".

Access and Permissions

  • Available Plans: This feature is exclusive to Business and Enterprise plans.

  • Permission Level: Only users with Administrator profiles can view and edit the Glossary.

Step-by-Step: How to Configure

1. Where to find it: There are two quick ways to access the tool:

  • Via the Workspace selector (top header menu).

  • Via the sidebar menu: Workspace > Glossary.

2. Editing Terms:

  • Entities are organized by language (Portuguese, English, and Spanish). Make sure to translate your custom terms for all languages used by your company.

  • For each item, you will find the system's default name and editable fields for Singular and Plural.

  • Enter the new terms and click Save.

3. Restoring Defaults: If you wish to return to the platform's original nomenclature, simply use the Restore Default button on the editing page.
